- Reference materials (some will be provided)
- Pencils and Sketch pad
- Pair of Dividers
- Extension Cord
- Table lamp
- Foredom and/or High Speed Tool
- Ribbon Epoxy Putty and quick wood
- Super Glue
- Wood Burner and tips (Guge tip)
- Dust Collector
- Grinding & Texturing Bits
- Sable Brushes No. 2 & 4 (round with good point)
- Larger brush for base coats No. 6-8 filberts are good
- Palette and Palette Knife for Color Mixing
- Water Container
- Paper Towels
- Spray Bottle to keep paint wet
- Gesso & Stiff Brush for Application
- Hair Dryer
- Acrylic Paints
- roll of painters tape (optional)
- Paint stick with a scew end and base to hold your bird while painting
- Paint container with a cover to hold paints
Josh will provide the paints and will mix the colors for everyone in the class. These are the basic colors josh uses on his birds (Liquitex -heavy body-acrylic paints) : Ivory black, Raw umber, Raw sienna, Titanium white, Yellow ochre (oxide), Cad. red medium, Burnt umber, Burnt sienna, Mars black, Ultramarine blue, Cad. yellow medium.
