This class is designed to take each carver to the next level. The class will cover all the details from carving a fish to making realistic habitat. There will be a big emphasis on composition and design. Students will also learn how to use an airbrush to apply base coats.
Students will learn the design process which includes:
-learning about the research phase
-making a miniature clay model
-creating good composition based on design principals
-finishing
The seminar will also include
-how to separate your piece from the rest at shows
-learn what the judges look for at competitions
Students will choose their own subject matter.
This is a 4 day class.
Students can take advantage of an open studio for access before and after regular work hours.
The total cost for the class is $280.
A $50 deposit is due at the time of registration.
Due to the nature of this class, size is limited.
The supply fee will be determined by what the student chooses to work on for the class.
Come accelerate your learning curve in this week long seminar. Students can borrow a study cast to use throughout the class which will be available for purchase at the end. Josh has additional supplies for new students who need tools.
