Students will create a full detailed project step by step throughout the week. All students start with a wood cut-out. Josh will do a series of demonstrations that will teach students every aspect of carving and painting a realistic bird. Josh instructs with power tools. Students are welcome to use knives or other tools if that is what they are comfortable with.
A study cast will also be provided to use throughout the class and can be purchased if desired. Student who do not have time to finish their piece will be able to paint the cast.

The project will be a miniature eastern great horned owl (1/3) scale
Date- Jan 16-20, 2017.
Location- Calusa Nature Preserve 3450 Ortiz Avenue, Fort Myers, FL 33905
The Cast size will be between 7-8 inches tall and will include some habitat.
The total cost for the class is $325. There will also be a supply fee TBD that you will pay to Josh at the class.
